By train
Palazzo Bo can be reached from Padua’s railway station on foot, by tram or taxi.
– On foot, Palazzo Bo can be reached with a 15/20-minute walk. After crossing the station square, proceed along Corso del Popolo, go straight ahead, first along Corso Garibaldi, then to Piazza Garibaldi. Then, continue along Via Cavour and then Piazza Cavour to reach Via VIII Febbraio. Under the porticos, access to the Cortile Antico is on the left.
– From the railway station, the tram to Palazzo Bo is the one going south in the direction of Guizza – Capolinea Sud. The departure stop is “Stazione FS”, while the arrival stop is “Ponti Romani”, which is only 200 metres far from Palazzo del Bo. The ticket for one ride costs 1.30 euro and can be purchased either at the ticket office or on board, directly with a credit card. The frequency of rides from both stops is approximately 5 minutes.

By plane
Padua can be reached by bus from the airports of Venice Marco Polo, Treviso – Antonio Canova and Verona Catullo.
– From Venice Marco Polo airport it is possible to reach Padua by BusItalia buses. The journey takes about an hour and the stop for the city centre is the railway station. – From Treviso Airport – Antonio Canova it is possible to reach Padua by bus. – From Verona Catullo airport, which is in Villafranca Veronese, it is necessary to first reach the Verona railway station by shuttle bus and then reach Padua by train. The whole journey (shuttle bus + train) takes approximately one hour and twenty minutes. By car
The old town of Padua, where the Palazzo Bo is located, can be reached by car from two motorways: the A4 (Milan-Venice) and the A13 (Bologna-Padua).
– From the A4 (Milan-Venice), coming from Venice, it is recommended to take the “Padova Est” motorway exit; coming from Milan, on the other hand, it is preferable to take the “Padova Ovest” motorway exit. – From the A13 (Bologna-Padova), it is recommended to take the “Padova Sud” motorway exit.
Palazzo Bo is in the Padua traffic-restricted zone, an area delimited by electronic barriers. Circulation in that zone is permitted only to vehicles in possession of the appropriate permit.
